Inspired by glimpses of nature in the city, this collection captures the persistence of plants tended lovingly on urban windowsills and sprouting from unexpected crevices.
By drawing from observation, we captured the familiar yet mysterious shapes of vines twisting and leaves growing from potted plants in and around our studio. The lively shapes created by light and shadow playing on the leaves were translated into a palette which is reminiscent of the rich opacity and vivid colors of the medium used to produce the drawings. The resulting pattern is a celebration of nature’s adornments.
